Bennett is a professor of literature and the humanities Chair at MIT, and is the author of 5 books. he was featured at President Obama’s Evening of Poetry & Music and has taught creative writing workshops in schools across the world. his poem, Trash, is one of at least 3 with the same name. Bennet’s style is dense and poignant up to and directly through the point of being painful, though the Trash poems are unlike that more typical work.
